“SOA Le guide de l'architecte d'un SI agile” (published by Dunod) (SOA – An Architect‘s Guide to Agile IT Systems)

This publication is aimed at IT systems managers, project managers, contracting authorities as well as system administration teams. Service-oriented architecture (SOA) provides a new model used to build flexible and easily adaptable IT systems. The document details SOA concepts and practices and guides the reader through the implementation of SOA architecture by describing the methodology and the tools required for developping and implementing a new system.

  • The first section of the book lists the specifications for an ideal state-of-the-art agile IT system.
  • The second section details the SOA approach.
  • The third section looks at the modelling of business processes and services, followed by the impact of SOA on project management.
  • The fourth section replaces the SOA governance approach in the context of a company’s architecture framework (notably NAF and Praxeme).
  • The section part provides a tool box combined to web services which are included in an SOA approach.
  • The sixth section is a case study looking at certain practical aspects.
  • The seventh section replaces SOA in relation to Web 2.0.
